Artist's Description
Greyhounds are quiet, well mannered, loving, and sensitive. Due to their lean bodies and long, powerful legs, greyhounds can reach speeds up to 45 mph, and it only takes three strides for them to reach 30 mph, therefore used for racing. Off the track most racing greyhounds are kept in small cages or kennels for up to 23 hours a day with limited interaction. As dog racing diminishes more and more greyhounds need homes. Thank you Tamar for allowing me to paint your rescued dogs. From left to right; Clyde, Norman, and Raven.
